Differences...

We've been here three weeks and this is what we have observed thus far!



Let's start with the Pros



Home: Beach? What is that?

Grenada: We have access to two beaches within a 5 minute drive. And there is always parking right outside the entrance to the sand.



Home: You need a permit to park anywhere.

Grenada: You can park wherever the heck you want, including the middle of the road!



Home: Food is so much cheaper. Why is this a Pro you ask?

Grenada: I have already lost like 8 pounds! Plus, I think sweating buckets every day helps...



Home: I only went swimming like 3 times the past few summers.

Grenada: Access to the University Club pool! Jeremy and I get to go swimming 2x a week, and we LOVE it!



Home: We have to buy fruits that are in season.

Grenada: There really are no seasons and I can go pick fresh Mangos off the tree down the street any time I want!



Home: Thunderstorms don't happen too often.

Grenada: Thunderstorms happen at least once a week! (which I kind of like)



Home: Babies are everywhere (in Utah).

Grenada: People act like Jeremy is the only baby they have ever seen and they LOVE him and his blue, blue eyes!



On to the Cons

Home: For the most part, people actually try to help you when it's their job to.

Grenada: People who are involved in customer service try to avoid you at all costs.



Home: We drive on the right side of the road.

Grenada: We are supposed to drive on the left side of the road, but really people just drive wherever the heck they want.



Home: You can mapquest almost anywhere you want to go.

Grenada: When someone asks you for your address they are really asking what city you live in. Therefore, my physical address here is Lance Epines, Grenada.



Home: Places are open when they say they will be open.

Grenada: People come and go to work as they please, resulting in me at the bank (during their "hours") when nobody else is.



Home: Church usually starts on time.

Grenada: Shane, Jeremy, and I get to church right at start time and beat everyone else there (including the Branch President). I like to call it Grenadian Standard Time.



Home: You can usually find what you need at a grocery store. If not, you can go to another store to find it.

Grenada: I went to the store the other day and there was no milk. I've heard it's a regular occurence to go and not find certain items. Oh, and there is no other store to go looking for "said" items.



Home: They speak English we can understand.

Grenada: I swear it's not English!
