Here are some more pictures of the apartment. Once again it's small! This is the bathroom. While Shane and I were on our honeymoon, my Mom, sisters, and Tilly went to Target to go Bathroom decor shopping! This is what we came home to! It looks great right?

Time Flies!
It has been a fast 4 months since I last posted! Where does the time go? Things have been crazy around here. I just completed my practicum working as a student teacher in a 5th grade classroom. Yesterday was my last day and I already miss the class. They were so great! It was such a great experience and I can't believe it is over and time to turn in all of the projects and papers that came along with it! Once next week is over, it's free sailin until next semester.....then student teaching! I cannot wait for student teaching. I found out that I will be doing my student teaching in the Alpine District which is everything between Orem and Lehi. Shane has been working part-time as well as studying for his insanely crazy classes. He has done well in his classes so far and for him as of yesterday it is free sailin until finals.

In the past month or so Shane and I were able to go to the first BYU basketball game of the season. The team looks pretty good so we are both excited for the season!

Shane and I have recently become fans of Sequence. It's a really fun board game/card game. The point of the game is to get two sequences, each consisting of 5 chips, before the other person does. This is a picture of the time when I beat Shane using only 11 chips! He was pretty sad about it.

We have come to the realization that life is expensive. Well we came to that realization already but lately it is becoming very apparent. The other day Shane wrote a check for 1800$ in order to take an MCAT prep course next semester. He also dropped 200$ in order to sign up for the MCAT. Not even to take the MCAT but to reserve a spot for him to take it. Today I went to the DMV to register my car and it came to a grand total of 178$. This may not seem like a lot for those of you who are done with school and have real jobs but when I am not working at all and Shane is only working part-time, 178$ is like taking a boulder and dropping it on the car! And no I'm not exaggerating.
On to better things. Last night Shane and I went to a real family home evening with real family members. It was held at Jamie and Dave's apartment. The food was delicious and the message was, let's just say, informative. But really, we learned a lot. I made a dessert that turned out to be a hit. I made two pans of it so there were leftovers, which Shane doesn't mind at all! After dessert we went to Fatcats for a game of bowling! Shane and I got creamed by Tyler and Kacey. I only bowled a 68 which I am pretty sure is the worst I have ever bowled. But I was aiming for 60 so I didn't feel too bad about it. Shane bowled an 83 so he didn't beat me by too far! It was a great time at the bowling alley! Pictures to come!
We celebrated Shane's birthday in September! It was great! I made him a cake and got him a BYU Vault book. He loved it! The day was busy for him. He had work from 8-12, then class from 1-6 solid, then a review for his chemistry test from 7-9. So I didn't see him until about 9 pm. But I picked him up from campus and surprised him by taking him to Red Robin! I think I signed Shane up for the birthday club for just about every restaurant and ice cream place in town! I am still getting coupons in my e-mail every day! Shane's birthday was a blast!
Shane taught me a fun one player card game called The Clock Game that he has only ever beat once in his life. I beat the game on my first try! The funniest part is the entire game is luck. There is no skill involved! That is my kind of game!

I found some time a couple of months ago to somewhat decorate the apartment. Or in other words, I made it look presentable. Check out the few pictures below! What can I say, our apartment is small!
Shane and I are both just excited to relax over this Thanksgiving break. It is going to be a fun-filled relaxing vacation from school and work! Below are just some more random pictures!
I love rainbows! This is one I spotted outside our apartment.
My 5th grade Halloween costume! I was a cop. All the teachers wanted my handcuffs.
Loved the beautiful fall colors! This was also taken outside my apartment!

My Birthday and the Pioneer Day Activities!
For my 21st birthday Shane and I both had to work. When I woke up in the morning Shane had left a boquet of flowers and a note on the table for me! It was so sweet! Then we went out to lunch with Shane's Mom, Grandma, and sister Marcie at the Italian Place. The food was delicious! That evening Shane and I went out to eat dinner at Zupas but we were still pretty full from lunch! We headed over to Shane's house in Lehi and had cake and ice cream with his family. Because we had to wake up at 4:30 the next morning for the races in Salt Lake we went to bed early! All in all it was an excellent birthday! I got calls from my siblings and Shane was very very sweet and made it a great day! I love him!

As I was saying before, on Pioneer day Shane and his entire family were involved in the 5 and 10 K races that were held in Salt Lake. They did the run as a memorial run for Shane's cousin, Grant Shields, who passed away 10 years ago on July 24th. Shane did really well in the race although he did not beat his sister Jamie, which was his goal. He did only run about 3 times before the race to train and before that was in high school. He didn't stretch before or after the race either....let's just say he was a little sore afterwards.
And as for me, I didn't even run the race but did manage to be the only one to get injured! I slipped on some rocks on the way to the car and my left foot collapsed underneath me. This all happened between the time that I dropped Shane off at the starting line and got to the finish line to see him finish! After Shane finished the race he came over and I was crying. He said that we should go to the medical tent and have them look at my foot. I felt stupid because I didn't even run the race and I was going to the medical tent that was supposed to be for the runners! The doctor said it may be broken so that made us a little nervous because we were waiting to get health insurance once school started. Anyway, long story short it wasn't broken only sprained and my foot is just getting back to normal and you can barely see the bruising! It was an exciting adventure! I had taken that day and the next day off of work for my birthday and to have a long weekend with Shane, since I work most Saturdays! But the weekend was spent laying around watching movies with Shane while his family was out shopping and playing racquetball! That's ok though it was fun enough just spending the whole weekend with Shane! It didn't matter what we were doing! Shane took such good care of me and my foot! I just wish I could have taken care of him and his extremely sore body!
